Samurai Love is my original 94” x 83” oil & enamel exhibition painting on raw canvas. This large statementpainting is hand signed and dated by the artist (me). This work is a rare collectible art.
Her love for him is but a pastel heart... transient & temporary… and his is so fierce. His hearts for her are made of enamel - permanent and everlasting. His face is from this puzzle of a Samurai Warrior I found in Ireland as a kid. We lived in a giant, ramshackle house with no electricity in the middle of nowhere. I can still remember finding each piece in the basement. I never found all the pieces but I remember those fierce eyes.
This is by far one of my favorite children, please don't tell the others. I love it not only for the content and memories it evokes for me, but it also marks a significant shift in my work - I stopped really listening to that inner, nagging critic.
This is NOT A PRINT or a copy. This is the original painting direct from my studio in California.
This work is large but ships for free in 5 to 7 days. This work also includes a hand signed and dated letter of authentication from the artist.
This work does not come stretched. Currently, it is hanging as a scroll with wooden dowels at either end (from last exhibit) and ships rolled in a tube. It can easily be hung or stretched, even framed, at any good frame store.
