Full Moon on the Harbor - 16” x 20” acrylic painting on wood panel (.25”). This painting is coated with clear acrylic. This painting can either be hung as is, or framed and matted because the wood is so thin. This painting is signed and dated by the artist (me) on the back and initialed on the front lower right corner.
I really love the way the light plays off this work. The shine creates such a water-like reflection and the moon dances just like it did that night.
This work, that grabs the light and pulls it in, hopefully, even pulls you in is definetly abstract but at the same time very real in other ways. The blues, blacks and silver flash in the light as if the water is moving or flowing. Our motion around this painting stirs it as a hand would the dark ocean waters at night.
This work does not come framed but is an easy to frame size.
