Before I was an artist, a journalist, an editor, economist, I spent a few years trying to become a full time wanderer in the merchant marine. This vibrant print of an early painting I did of a trip I took on a fuel tanker. The sky was so orange that the color of everything was thrown off and the sea beneath the ship was more a greenish orange.
This heirloom print in high definition and archival ink pictures an abstract snapshot of the surfers lining up to catch the firstwaves of the day off surfers point. This is looking toward the harbor and pier from the point. This is very much a mix of real and surreal as are the many surfers and others who hang out along the beach.
This print has a 1-inch white border around it for easy framing. It is signed & numbered on the front by the artist (me).

Hahnemühle Hemp is archival certified, and sustainably produced from hemp fiber and cotton. Hahnemühle Hemp is made of 60% hemp fiber and as a result has a bright white natural tone, and thus no optical brighteners are required. The lightly textured surface gives the paper a pleasant, silky feel. Colors and details are brilliantly reproduced, the depth of the black truly stands out and contrasts are reproduced with stunning effect. The acid- and lignin-free paper meets the most exacting requirements for age resistance.
